Student-Alum Virtual Meetups
Purpose: To provide students and alumni an opportunity to briefly meet and talk about common professional interests in a speed-networking format.
Duration: Each virtual meetup lasts approximately 60 minutes; each brief conversation lasts 9-10 minutes, typically.
Features:
Students may review profiles of participating alumni when registering and select particular profiles they would like match with.
Participants receive an email digest following the event with the names of individuals with whom they met along with their contact information and any notes taken during the conversation.
Purpose: To provide students and alumni an opportunity to engage in a structured mentoring relationship moderated virtually through the Together platform.
Duration: Student-alumni mentoring pairs will typically meet for one hour per week over a period of 5 to 6 weeks.
Features:
Students can either select the alumni they want to meet with, or they will be matched based on common areas of interest and connection (based on information provided during the registration process).
MentorGrinnell is a great opportunity to develop more substantive relationships where insight, guidance, and support can be extended.
