They provide you the opportunity to explore your interests, gain valuable skills, broaden your network, and expand your portfolio of experiences as you prepare for life beyond Grinnell. So, whether you’re just getting started or are on the hunt for specifics about earning academic credit or applying for internship funding, you’re in the right place.

Internships & Academic Credit (INT-300)

Some students need and or want to earn academic credit as part of a summer or academic term internship experience. Registering for INT-300 is different than any other Grinnell class, so check out this resource to get the low down on how it works.

Internship Funding

It is estimated that approximately half of all internships are unpaid (or pay below minimum wage). To ensure all students have access to these opportunities, the CLS manages an extensive internship funding application each spring.

Creating Your Own Internship

Some of the best internship experiences are those that students propose and create with an organization doing work that interests and inspires them. This resource will help you think through how to create such an experience.
