- IM Diversity – Career site devoted to serving the cultural and career-related needs of diverse job seekers. Check their “Diversity Villages” under their main menu for more resources for African Americans, Hispanic Americans, minorities globally, Asian Americans, Women, and Native Americans.
- Jobwell – A career advancement platform for Black, Latine, and Native American students and professionals. They also help companies with their marketing, diversity recruitment, and retention
Arts
- Americans for the Arts (multiple locations) offers a Diversity in Arts Leadership internship program for students from backgrounds traditionally untapped for arts leadership. Accepted students are placed at an arts nonprofit in one of six national locations.
- Arts2Work has an apprenticeship program for culturally diverse artists, mediamakers with disabilities, and low-income college grads.
- The Getty Foundation (Los Angeles, CA) funds internships at cultural organizations across Los Angeles for outstanding students from Los Angeles county who are members of groups underrepresented in careers related to museums and the visual arts. After graduation, it provides a variety of apprenticeships, including:
- Post-Baccalaureate Conservation Internships to increase diversity in the field of art conservation.
- The Getty Marrow Emerging Professionals Pilot Program – full-time, early career jobs at arts museums and nonprofits to individuals from historically underrepresented groups.
- The Jadin Wong Fellowship recognizes an emerging Asian American dance artist in New York City.
- LACMA (Los Angeles, CA) offers fellowships that support the development and training of future museum leaders, with an eye towards diversifying the industry.
- The Library of Congress (Washington, D.C.) has a junior fellows summer internship program that spans all areas of library science, archival work, and research. Additionally, they offer an Archives, History and Heritage Advanced Internship Program for the next generation of diverse archivists and knowledge workers.
- The Smithsonian offers internships across all their museums, research centers, and other units.
- The Studio Museum in Harlem (New York, NY) provides year-long fellowships that support the professional training of curators, scholars, archivists, and educators historically underrepresented in the museum field.
- The Van Lier Fellowship program aims to advance the careers and creative practice of Asian American artists in the fields of theater, music, and visual art living in New York City.
Athletics
- NASCAR offers a Diversity Internship Program.
Business + Finance
- Inroads hosts an internship program placing students in industries including business, government, and healthcare.
- The LAGRANT Foundation works with advertising, marketing, and public relations agencies, as well as corporations, to place ethnically diverse talent in jobs and internships.
- PwC’s Start Internship program is designed for college sophomores/rising juniors who self-identify as members of traditionally underrepresented minority groups in the professional services industry (Black or African American, Hispanic or Latine, American Indian or Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander, or two or more races), protected veterans, and/or individuals with disabilities.
- SEO Career offers internship opportunities across corporate America and Wall Street for students who identify as Black, Latine, or Native American.
Education

Children’s Council San Francisco Black & BIPOC Early Educator Pre-Apprenticeship Pathways Program recognizes the impact of having culturally affirming learning spaces from preschool to college. Representation in the classroom matters! This program aims to support and improve the quality, care, and education for our youngest learners by increasing the numbers of Black and Pacific Islander early educators in San Francisco.

Andover’s The Institute for Recruitment of Teachers (IRT) supports talented prospective educators preparing to join the nation’s teaching faculties by recruiting outstanding scholars committed to student success and transformative education, counseling them through the graduate school application process, and advocating for sufficient funding for advanced study. IRT graduates have enjoyed remarkable success securing jobs as K-12 teachers, counselors, and principals, as well as professors, university administrators, and leaders.
Film + TV
- The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences has a talent development, diversity and inclusion program–Gold Rising–that offers internships with production companies such as AMC Networks, Annapurna Pictures, Bron Studios, and Monkeypaw Productions.
- DVRSO (Diverso) runs The DVRSO Fellowship: Co-launched with The Writers Guild Foundation, its goal is to empower the next generation of statistically overlooked storytellers to change the face of the entertainment industry. The program runs virtually for 10 weeks from June – August.
- and Black Writers in Focus–a 10-week, paid summer fellowship program for Black student screenwriters.
- Nickelodeon (Burbank, CA) has an Artist Program, Writing Program, and an Intern Program.
- OTV (Chicago, IL) has a fellowship program for emerging writers and directors identifying with multiple communities that have been historically marginalized in the film + TV business.
- The T. Howard Foundation has an internship program dedicated to improving the participation of diverse + underrepresented groups in the media + entertainment industry.
- WarnerMedia Access is a talent development program that provides mentorship, placement opportunities, and industry exposure for underrepresented talent.
Government + Public Policy
- The Congressional Black Caucus Foundation hosts internships, fellowships, scholarships, and leadership development programs to increase the pool of Black leaders in public service and public policy careers.
- The Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute hosts paid congressional internships and public policy fellowships for Latine undergraduates, recent graduates, and emerging leaders.
- The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities hosts an internship program that places students of all backgrounds in federal agencies.
- Inroads hosts an internship program placing students in industries including business, government, and healthcare.
- National League of Cities Apprenticeship for Cities Apprenticeship Program is an evidence-based strategy to address the key workforce needs of local governments. Join the National League of Cities (NLC) and the American Institutes for Research (AIR) for an exciting new technical assistance cohort focused on implementing Registered Apprenticeships. Participating cities will have access to tools and resources to partner with local apprenticeship intermediaries and/or develop new Apprenticeship Programs to fill critical vacancies in municipal roles.
Healthcare
- Alliance for Regenerative Medicine hosts the GROW RegenMed Internship Program, which provides early career paid opportunities in the regenerative medicine sector to Black undergraduate and graduate students.

- Graywolf Press (Minneapolis, MN) offers a 10-month fellowship intended to promote diversity in the publishing field.
Research
- Leadership Alliance Summer Research Early Identification Program (SR-EIP)– Designed to encourage students from groups traditionally underrepresented in the sciences, social sciences, and humanities to consider research careers in the academic, public, or private sectors. This all-expense-paid summer internship provides students with a competitive stipend, travel, and housing.
Social Justice
- Council on International Educational Exchange offers a Frederick Douglass Global Fellowship, a fully funded summer program that takes students to Washington, D.C.; Cape Town; Dublin; Derry; and Belfast to study social justice leadership.
STEM
- Institute for Broadening Participation has a directory of links to summer programs across STEM.

- Black Enterprise – Black-owned multimedia company. Published annual list of largest African American companies in the country, “B.E. 100’s.”
- Black Excel – Lists contact information for summer research opportunities to gain experience and enhance medical school applications for undergraduate African American students.
- The Institute for Responsible Citizens – A scholar program that serves African American male college students and offers a rigorous experience that includes internships, professional development, and a variety of social activities.

Hispanic / Latine

Native American
- Native American Jobs – Site for Native American job seekers or those who want to work in Native American communities and reservations.
- Northwest Portland Area Indian Health Board (NPAIHB) – Our mission is to eliminate health disparities and improve the quality of life of American Indians and Alaska Natives by supporting Northwest Tribes in their delivery of culturally appropriate, high quality healthcare.
Pan-Asian/Pan-Asian American
- Career India – Community-based site with an emphasis on personal and social interests. There are international job listings, news, sports, social, and entertainment pages. You can even register your resume and conduct a job search.
