London Business + Finance Internship Program | Summer 2025
Imagine spending eight weeks working and living in London! The largest city in Europe and the seat of business and finance, London has it all—theaters, restaurants, museums, parks, nightlife, diversity, history, and culture. While enjoying the summer in a city where over 300 world languages are spoken, students will develop work and living skills, adding essential business experience with an international flair to their resumes.

If selected for this internship program, you will enjoy:
- Guaranteed placement for an eight-week, full-time internship in London that compliments your career aspirations
- Assistance with interviewing, career coaching, and other skills necessary to find your best match in London
- A stipend to help cover airfare, meals, and incidentals
- Paid housing in London featuring a private bedroom/bathroom and shared common room and kitchen with other Grinnell students selected for this program
- A cohort of Grinnell College roommates all working at different companies
- Assistance securing a work visa for the summer, with visa fees paid for you, that allows you up to two weeks post-internship to explore on your own
What am I, the student-intern, responsible for?
- Personal incidental and entertainment expenses above the stipend
- Optional travel insurance
- Note: Students selected for this program will not be eligible to apply for any other CLS funding for summer 2025 (including internship funding and travel grants)

Who is eligible?
Currently enrolled Grinnell students who will have completed at least one year of college coursework prior to June 1, 2025, are eligible to apply. This includes all majors, even if you haven’t yet declared. Students in this program must be interested in being placed in a business- or finance-industry related internship. Due to the nature of the program and the extensive process to obtain a UK visa, the following criteria also applies:
- Applicants must be currently enrolled as a full-time student at Grinnell College for the spring and fall 2025 terms. Fourth-year students graduating in December 2025 are eligible to apply.
- Students must be on-campus during the spring semester to facilitate the UK visa application process. Students studying away from campus during the spring term are ineligible to apply.
- Applicants must be in good conduct standing as verified by Student Affairs.
- Students on leave during the spring 2025 semester are ineligible to apply.
For this unparalleled opportunity, the CLS will be selecting up to six students to participate.
Students accepted into the program will be able to work in one of these important areas:
- Business: operations, research strategy, account management, public relations and marketing, customer care, business development, sales, project management, event planning, e-commerce, data analysis
- Consulting: data analysis, business development, growth strategy, research and market research, project management, project planning, strategy planning, modeling
- Entrepreneurship: research, business development, growth strategy, marketing, digital marketing, assisting the growth and development of new business ventures
- Finance and Accounting: investment-related roles, research, real estate investment, asset management, financial services, consulting, equity management
Selection Criteria
- Current resume
- Quality of responses to the short-answer essay questions in the application
- Minimum one-year successful college coursework (as of June 1, 2025)
- Priority will be given to applicants who have not previously received internship funding
