The Guest Services Fellow will play an integral role in the Guest Services department, which serves those who are visiting JAARS. He or she will work closely with other staff to help provide the best experience possible for guests. Areas of service include providing quality housing, food service, events, childcare, health services, missionary family care, and more. If a fellow has a specific interest in one of these areas, they would be able to focus the majority of their time on that area in accordance with the needs of the department and guidance of the Guest Services Director. The fellow will be encouraged to think creatively about possible new processes and to think strategically about streamlining and strengthening existing processes.
Position Responsibilities
- Assist Housing, Food Service, Events, Health Services, Missionary Family Care, Gift Shop, Museums, Tours, and other service teams as necessary and able to provide a friendly, welcoming experience for JAARS guests
- Review existing functional processes to look for process improvement opportunities
- Develop processes where ambiguity exists
- Conduct internal needs assessments to determine how Guest Services can best partner with internal departments
- Projects and other job-related duties as assigned by your manager
