Job overview
We’re seeking an Intern, Product Analyst to join our design thinking and Agile-based Digital Product team. In this role, you’ll work closely with our Sr. Manager, Technical Product Owner to assist in working with customers, partners and stakeholders to define product capabilities, features and functions and build out a prioritized backlog, and drive hands-on execution with the development team.
In joining our growing Digital Product team, you’ll have the opportunity to tackle interesting and challenging problems across a wide range of solution sets to accelerate your learning and growth. You’ll also experience a high level of ownership on projects, while being empowered to bring forward ideas and initiatives that continue to improve our product management discipline and culture.
What You’ll Do
- Help define the capabilities and functions for your products through deep collaboration with customers, business stakeholders, technical partners, and the broader Solutions and Digital Product teams
- Plan and execute discovery activities including user testing and feedback and rapid prototyping to achieve problem-solution and product-market fit
- Develop, prioritize, and manage product backlogs based on customer need, squad capacity, and maximizing the value of each release
- Craft high quality product requirements and user stories, including clear acceptance criteria to ensure alignment and minimize waste
- Drive delivery and execution excellence in collaboration with Engineering and Design as a key participant in ongoing Scrum rituals such as sprint planning, backlog refinement, and sprint retrospectives
- Manage communication with stakeholders at all levels to maximize transparency, report on deliverables and blockers, and negotiate delivery expectations
- Rigorously measure and evaluate the performance of your products through quantitative and qualitative methods to ensure tangible value is being delivered
- Provide input to test plans and validate test results
- Help establish scalable best practices for product/solutions development and management
- Assist in technical documentation within and outside of your specific product areas
About You
- You have an interest in and strong sense of empathy for understanding and solving customer/business problems, with a focus on delivering valuable outcomes for all stakeholders
- You have some experience and / or a comfort level working on digital products, within a technology startup or an existing business implementing a digital makeover.
- You are a disciplined analytical problem-solver with the ability to turn data into insights and insights into customer requirements.
- You can develop recommendations and create and conduct formal presentations.
- You are an excellent communicator, comfortable having product and technical discussions with both internal and external developers and UX teams.
- You bring attention to detail and are deadline-focused.
- You understand / or aware of Agile principles and can thrive working in an environment where iteration and continuous improvement is essential to our culture.
- You exhibit a sense of urgency and commitment to excellence in the timely completion of projects.
- You have a strong willingness to learn and grow through on-the-job training, coaching, mentorship, and other professional development opportunities.

- Any familiarity you may have with mobile, React, Python is a plus.

- Any familiarity of MS Office (especially Excel), database and data analysis programs, as well as Agile development tools such as Jira and Confluence and ideation software (MS Teams, Miro, etc.) is a plus.

- Currently in a 3rd year Bachelors degree in Engineering, Software Development, Business or Marketing and will be a senior next year.
