LinkedIn makes it easy to swap profiles with new contacts on the spot. Each user has a personalized QR code linked directly to their profile.
To access your QR code, you’ll need the latest version of the mobile LinkedIn app on your phone. Open the app and touch the search bar. You’ll see a QR-code icon.
Instructions for Connecting on LinkedIn via QR Code
iOS
- Open the app and touch the search bar
- Tap the QR code icon at the top of your home page
- MY CODE shows your code and the option to share or save it to your photos
- SCAN allows you to scan your new contact’s code
Android
- Open the app and touch the search bar
- Tap the QR code icon at the top of your home page
- MY CODE allows you to download your code to your photos (option to share coming soon)
- SCAN allows you to scan your new contact’s code
Bonus Tip: If you use the LinkedIn app, you can record the pronunciation of your name for others to reference. Touch your profile picture in the upper left corner>Settings>Account preferences>Name, location, and industry>”Add name pronunciation”
