The MCAT Registration System will remain open for scheduling after opening day for examinees who are not yet ready to schedule their exam.
Here are a few things you can do now if you plan on registering for your exam on opening day:
- Familiarize Yourself with the Testing Calendar: If you are planning to take the MCAT exam in 2026, review the testing calendar and determine when you will plan to take your exam. The 2026 MCAT testing year runs from January to September, including one test date in February based on feedback from examinees and prehealth advisors. Visit our website to see the full calendar.
- Register for the MCAT Testing Year Update Webinar for Examinees: Join us Wednesday, Oct. 8 at 3 p.m. ET to learn about updates to the 2026 MCAT testing year, the registration process, and MCAT preparation resources to help you get ready for the exam. Register today. This webinar will be recorded and distributed via email to registrants.
- Apply for Fee Assistance: If you are interested in applying to the AAMC Fee Assistance Program, please allow at least five business days for your application to be reviewed before you register. Fee Assistance Program benefits are not retroactive, which means you must be approved before you register for the MCAT exam. Scheduling your MCAT Exam with Accommodations
Advance scheduling for the 2026 testing year will be available for examinees with approved accommodations. If you have approved accommodations, you can expect to receive an email notification from Pearson VUE with instructions for submitting accommodations scheduling requests. If you did not receive this email from Pearson VUE, please contact accommodations@aamc.org.
