  • Just about every organization has a marketing department. Look under a field for the types of businesses that interest you. If an organization offers internships, chances are good that at least one of them will involve marketing!

  • Hornet (New York, NY) offers animation internships.
  • Microsoft (international) offers game design internships.
  • Nickelodeon (Burbank, CA) offers summer and semester-long internships. 
  • Pixar (Emeryvill, CA) offers summer and year-round internships.
  • PlayStation (various cities in CA) offers summer internships. Opportunities are posted in December, and are filled on a rolling basis.
  • Riot Games (Los Angeles, CA) offers internships in animation, game design, sound design, video editing, writing, and more.
  • Sony Pictures Animation (Culver City, CA) offers summer internships. Application window opens Feb. 1
  • Television Academy Foundation (Los Angeles, CA) offers summer internships at multiple TV studios, and can include animation.
  • Walt Disney Animation Studios (Burbank, CA) offer summer internships, as well as apprenticeships after graduation. 
  • Warner Bros. Discovery has internships in technology, design, distribution, marketing, publicity, development, production, news, games, animation, human resources, and more.
  • Wizards of the Coast offers summer internships for their gaming and entertainment brands.
  • Zatun (Gujarat, India) offers internships for 3-6 month periods. You must have a link to online game prototypes/previously developed games to apply.

Art

  • Americans for the Arts (multiple locations) offers a Diversity in Arts Leadership internship program for students from backgrounds traditionally untapped for arts leadership. Accepted students are placed at an arts nonprofit in one of six national locations. 
  • Americans for the Arts (Washington, D.C.) offers summer and semester-long internships.
  • Anderson Ranch Arts Center (Snowmass Village, CO) offers summer internships.
  • Christie’s (multiple) offers internships in their Asia, Hong Kong, London, and New York City offices.
  • The Getty Foundation (Los Angeles, CA) funds internships at cultural organizations across Los Angeles for outstanding students from Los Angeles county who are members of groups underrepresented in careers related to museums and the visual arts.
  • The Morgan Conservatory (Cleveland, OH) offers summer internships in papermaking and arts administration. 
  • NE SCULPTURE (Minneapolis, MN) has an internship/residency program for emerging artists. 
  • Sotheby’s (New York, NY) offers summer internships.
  • Warner Bros. Discovery has internships in technology, design, distribution, marketing, publicity, development, production, news, games, animation, human resources, and more.
  • Wizards of the Coast offers summer internships for their gaming and entertainment brands.

Communications

  • The American Foreign Service Association (Washington, D.C.) offers summer internships in communications and outreach. Deadline: Feb. 15
  • The Modern Language Association offers summer and seasonal internships. Deadline: March 15
  • The T. Howard Foundation has an internship program dedicated to improving the participation of diverse + underrepresented groups in the media, entertainment, advertising, and public relations.
  • Just about every organization has a communications department, or several communications areas that deal with development, public relations, and marketing. Look under a field for the types of businesses that interest you. If an organization offers internships, chances are good that at least one of those internships will involve communications!​​​​​​​

Dance

  • American Dance Festival (Durham, NC) offers summer and year-round internships in arts administration and production. Deadline: Feb. 1
  • Americans for the Arts (multiple locations) offers a Diversity in Arts Leadership internship program for students from backgrounds traditionally untapped for arts leadership. Accepted students are placed at an arts nonprofit in one of three national locations. Deadline: Jan. 10
  • Bates Dance Festival (Lewiston, ME) offer summer internships. Application window opens: Dec. 3; Deadline: Jan. 14
  • Dance/USA (Washington, D.C.) offers summer and semester-long internships in arts administration. 
  • Jacob’s Pillow (Becket, MA) offers summer festival internships in specific areas of arts administration and production. Deadline: Jan. 11
  • Mark Morris Dance Group (Brooklyn, NY) offers summer and semester-long internships. ​​​​​​​

Design – Product

  • Hasbro (multiple locations) offers summer and semester-long internships in multiple areas of toy development, from design to marketing. 
  • Lego (multiple locations worldwide) periodically offers internships.
  • Mattel (multiple locations worldwide) offers summer internships in multiple areas, including design, development, supply chain, and information technology.
  • Nike and Converse (multiple locations) offer internships in graphic design, product design, and more.

Film + TV

  • ​​​​​​​21st Century Fox (multiple locations) offers summer and semester-long internships in its film, television, and sports divisions.
  • The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences has a talent development, diversity and inclusion program–Gold Rising–that offers internships with production companies such as AMC Networks, Annapurna Pictures, Bron Studios, and Monkeypaw Productions.
  • Disney Professional Internships are available in many film/TV areas. This link will lead you to all Disney internships, as well as internships for ABC, ESPN, Lucasfilm, and Marvel.
  • Diverso runs The Minority Report–a virtual, 6-month fellowship program for diverse screenwriters enrolled in undergraduate or graduate educational institutions–and Black Writers in Focus–a 10-week, paid summer fellowship program for Black student screenwriters.
  • The International Radio & Television Society (IRTS) (New York, NY) offers summer fellowships that serve as “media bootcamps” Deadline: Dec. 1 and a broadcast sales associate program Deadline: Jan. 27
  • Lionsgate offers internships in the summer and fall. 
  • Minnie Productions​ ​(Chicago, IL) offers internships in camera, production, and marketing.

  • Chips Quinn Scholars Program for Diversity in Journalism (multiple locations) provides training and mentoring with news veterans, and matches qualified Juniors, Seniors, and recent graduates with participating news organizations across the country for paid summer internships. 
  • The Chronicle of Higher Education has a summer reporting internship. 
  • The Dallas Morning News (Dallas, TX and Washington, D.C.) offers summer internships for their English and Spanish newspapers.
  • The Denver Post (Denver, CO) offers summer internships for Juniors and Seniors who have had previous experience interning at a daily paper.
  • Dow Jones News Fund (multiple locations) pairs Juniors, Seniors, and graduates with leading news organizations, provides pre-internship training, and pays a weekly salary during the internship.
  • Forbes (Jersey City, NJ) offers summer editorial internships.
