Considerations for International Students
International students should always consult the Office of International Student Affairs (OISA) to ensure that their summer experience is in compliance with all immigration requirements. If you are an F-1 student, read through the Curricular Practical Training for Internships [Grinnell login required] resource from the OISA. You may also want to set up an appointment with OISA’s Karen Edwards or Brenda Strong for additional information and guidance.
If your summer experience is in the U.S. (not on Grinnell’s campus):
- You will likely need to enroll in INT-300 for academic credit to satisfy CPT requirements. Find complete information about INT-300 here.
- Your internship must be related to your academic major.
