EXPLORE GLOBAL INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Are you looking for a hands-on, real-world global experience that aligns with your future career goals? Grinnell College partners with three approved global internship providers—CIEE, IES, and SIT. These partnerships allow us to ensure that staff in the various internship locations handle safety, housing, visa processing, and other logistical components of the experience. Through our approved partners, you can gain professional skills, global perspectives, and valuable connections by participating in programs that offer immersive work experiences in diverse fields, such as business, sustainability, public health, or social justice.
Global internships are available for the spring, summer, and fall semesters. Costs related to the program vary depending on the location and what is being offered. Be sure to carefully read what includes tuition, airfare, housing, meal plan, additional travel, etc. It is also important to consider personal and pre-departure expenses. This may include fees for a visa and passport, immunizations, airfare, and insurance. We recommend completing a budget to anticipate daily and other miscellaneous costs. Some programs provide typical cost estimates to assist students in creating a budget. All approved partners offer scholarships and financial aid as part of their programs.
