Alternative Licensure Teaching Programs

Alternative teaching programs were being created as early as the 1980s as a way to cope with teacher shortages. By providing an alternative path to a teaching career, these programs hope to encourage an increase in the overall teacher population. In this list, there are residency programs, cohort teaching Master’s programs, and alternative licensure programs that cooperate with local school districts.
