A history major at Grinnell, Jameson went on to get an MA in History at Northern Arizona University (spending time as a ski bum in Alta, UT in-between). Jameson shares, “I have worked in lifestyle print and digital media, from wine to wellness. Pivoted to the tech world but doing similar writing, editing, and content strategy work. First for Google on Maps. Most recently for Amazon with their AI-powered shopping assistant, (formerly known as) Rufus. I like using my critical thinking skills, along with my writing and editing acumen, to figure out the best way to get a message to an audience. My hobbies are: I cook, I bake, I read, I walk, I live for my cat.”
Jameson loved being on a small campus in a small town surrounded by “smart, eccentric weirdos.” Happy to connect with current students, Jameson invites, “I’m happy to advise anyone looking to navigate the insanely bleak landscape of lifestyle media. Also how to decide (or don’t decide) what to do after graduation. How to network and how to build your personal brand. (As cringe as the latter sounds to some, it’s important and it’s a useful exercise both personally and professionally.) Or I can share my strong opinions about food and restaurants, gossip a bit? Or just be a sympathetic/empathetic ear. However I can be helpful.”
