You will be responsible for helping lead students in nightly worship. This opportunity will help you to grow and develop in your personal area of expertise of worship (vocally, instrumentally, etc.) You will gain valuable hands-on leadership experience as you help lead 45 nights of worship. Not only will you have the opportunity to lead worship each night, but you will also have ministry opportunities during the day as you serve alongside and lead students on work projects. You will see students’ lives changed as they grow into a deeper understanding of God through serving in the community during the day and experiencing powerful programming each night.
Responsibilities:
- Lead worship under the direction of the Worship Leader
- Work with the worship team on set selection
- Participate in daily practices and run-throughs
- Attend set up and sound check daily
- Develop in your area of expertise (leading vocally, instrumentally)
- Lead and participate alongside students at work projects daily
- Contribute as a team player in all aspects of mission trip facilitation
- Participate in daily devos
Qualifications:
- Must be a believer in Jesus Christ and hold to Next Step’s statement of faith
- Experience leading worship preferred, but not required
- Experience playing in a band preferred, but not required
- Previous missions experience preferred, but not required
- Familiarity with sound equipment and Mac computers preferred, but not required
- Fluency in Spanish preferred (for Guatemala location only)
