A Day in the Life
The Manual Software Test Engineer II will be an integral member of the Mapping & Navigation Software Team working with Affera technology. This is a unique opportunity to join a pre-market, industry disrupting technology. The ideal candidate has extensive experience designing, developing and manually testing real time high performance visualization applications, can take ownership of key software features while working collaboratively with other engineering teams, and is passionate about working on a product that will have a positive impact on the lives of millions.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- Manually tests the functionality and performance of software applications or systems software.
- Develops and executes manual test plans and scripts designed to detect problems in software applications and systems software.
- Ensures software applications or systems software meets technical and functional requirements.
- Performs workflow analysis, documents test results and recommends quality improvements.
- Works with development to resolve software defects and diagnose/improve product configuration for current and future models.
- Reviews frameworks, tools, techniques, and methodologies.
This position is a manual testing position and is required to sit onsite 100% of the time at 320 Nevada St. Newton MA 02460 and would require up to 25% travel (mostly regional)
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 0 years of experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience manually debugging hardware with tools such as oscilloscope and function generators
- Experience writing technical reports
- Ability to work in an agile development environment
- Experience programming in an object-oriented programming language
- Strong work ethic and entrepreneurial drive
