Software Development Intern – Humaximus Inc.

About Humaximus

Humaximus is an early-stage health technology startup building an AI execution layer that helps healthcare and community organizations complete patient care across multiple organizations in real time.

Internship Overview

Humaximus is seeking a Software Development Intern to help build, test, and improve our early-stage platform as we prepare for pilot partnerships.

This role is ideal for a student interested in software development, AI, healthcare technology, startups, and building real products from the ground up. You will work on practical product and engineering tasks that support the development of Humaximus’ MVP.

Responsibilities

Intern responsibilities may include:

  • Support frontend and/or backend development
  • Help build and improve product features
  • Test product workflows and identify bugs
  • Support database, API, or integration-related work
  • Help improve product usability and technical performance
  • Assist with technical documentation
  • Research useful tools, AI features, or healthcare technology standards
  • Work with the founder and technical team to prepare the platform for pilots

Qualifications

Strong candidates should be:

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university program
  • Studying computer science, software engineering, data science, cybersecurity, health informatics, information systems, or a related field
  • Comfortable building, testing, or improving software
  • Able to learn new tools quickly
  • Detail-oriented, reliable, and self-motivated
  • Interested in startups, AI, healthcare, or social impact

Helpful Skills

Experience with any of the following is helpful, but not required:

  • JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, or similar languages
  • React, Next.js, Node.js, or similar tools
  • SQL or database tools
  • APIs and integrations
  • GitHub
  • AI/LLM tools
  • Cloud platforms
  • Cybersecurity, privacy, or compliance concepts
  • Healthcare data systems such as FHIR, HL7, or EHR integrations

Internship Details

Location: United States only, North Texas preferred
Work Style: Remote/Hybrid
Duration: June 22 – August 28
Time Commitment: 10 hours per week
Compensation: $800 total stipend
Company Stage: Early-stage startup preparing for MVP-to-pilot launch
