Decibel is seeking a Development & Fundraising Intern to support our efforts to raise funds, grow donor relationships, and sustain our programs that serve artists and audiences.

What You’ll Do
This is an unpaid, educational internship that follows U.S. Department of Labor FLSA guidelines, with an emphasis on learning and hands-on experience tied to your academic program (academic credit required).

You’ll help research and draft grant proposals and donor appeals, giving you direct exposure to how nonprofit funding works. You’ll assist with maintaining our donor database and supporting email communications. You’ll also contribute to fundraising campaigns, donor outreach, and help organize fundraising efforts such as events and online auctions.

All work is done under guidance, with opportunities to learn how development strategy supports real-world arts programming.

Qualifications
You should have strong writing skills, attention to detail, and an interest in nonprofit fundraising or arts administration.

Students in fields such as communications, nonprofit management, arts administration, or related areas are encouraged to apply.

What We Offer
You’ll gain practical experience in fundraising and nonprofit operations, with opportunities to contribute to real campaigns and initiatives.

Portfolio-ready writing samples (such as grant drafts and campaign materials) may be developed during the internship.

We also provide mentorship, references, and flexible remote hours. This internship does not guarantee a paid role, but it offers meaningful experience within a working arts organization.
