U of Iowa - Iowa N.E.W. Leadership Institute

Iowa N.E.W. Leadership Institute is a program hosted by the Women’s Resource and Action Center offering students many opportunities to develop professionally. Iowa N.E.W. Leadership is an affiliated program with the National Education for Women’s (N.E.W.) Leadership network, which originates from the Center for American Women and Politics at Rutgers University. The goal of Iowa N.E.W. Leadership is to help close the gender leadership gap by preparing and equipping college women to “change the face of public leadership,” as per the motto of all the affiliated N.E.W. programs across the United States. This is an intensive and all expenses paid opportunity for student leaders to develop the skills necessary to confidently pursue leadership positions in public life, elected office, or even their fields of study.
