Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) teaches you how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges among children and adults. This training teaches valuable social, communication, intervention, and soft skills and helps individuals’ resumes stand out across ALL job industries/fields!
Participants will earn the official MHFA training certification from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing, which is a worldwide, recognizable official endorsement that employers will be familiar with.
ALL CLASS YEARS ARE ENCOURAGED TO REGISTER AND ATTEND, including 1st years! Graduating seniors, this is the last chance before you graduate to receive this training and its materials free of charge, so you are highly encouraged to attend.
Lunch WILL be provided! We look forward to seeing you at the training.
***PLEASE NOTE: If you click register for this event on Handshake, you MUST ATTEND the training. Your registration represents a binding commitment to attending and it is up to you to read through these instructions. MHFA training costs $300 per student, so in order to ensure CLS funds are allocated properly without waste, once you register on Handshake, you must attend or the charge for the training will be applied to your student account.
