Alum in Residence: Alyssa Hyndman ’20

Medical student Alyssa Hyndman ’20 will visit campus October 8 – 9, 2025, as an Alum in Residence for the Health Professions Career Community. Her visit will include:

  • Lunch with Students: October 8, Noon – 1:00 pm, D-Hall Pavilion (Whale Room).  Join us for lunch and casual conversation.
  • Interactive Interview Lab: October 8, 4:15 – 5:30 pm, HSSC N3110. Get insider tips and strategies for professional school interviews. Email [shroyerm] if you’d like to volunteer for a mock interview with real-time feedback!
  • Office Hours: October 9, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm, JCC 2nd Floor. A small number of 20-minute individual meetings with Alyssa are available. Stop by the CLS desk on the second floor or call 641-269-4940 to register for a spot.

Biography: As a biology major with a neuroscience concentration, Alyssa was involved with Questbridge and ultimate frisbee. She participated in the DIS healthcare study abroad program in Copenhagen and was in the inaugural CNA training class at the Mayflower. Now in her fourth year at Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine, where she serves as an Admissions interviewer, she is applying to Family Medicine residency programs with specific interests in primary care for underserved populations and addiction medicine.
