Thursdays in the HSSC are for Tech & Data

If you’re preparing for a career in technology, software development, or data science, the HSSC is the place to be on Thursday evenings!

Prep for technical interviews with GrinTECH: Student organization GrinTECH is hosting biweekly* Leetcode study sessions to help you prepare for technical interviews. Meet fellow techy students, solve problems, build skills, and gain confidence heading into recruiting & interviews. All majors & skill sessions are welcome. You can find GrinTECH in HSSC N1118, 6 – 7 pm, on October 6 and every other Thursday after that.

Machine Learning with DASIL: Martin Pollack ’22 is leading workshops on Python and machine learning in collaboration with DASIL. These are foundational skills for the growing field of data science. These workshops are held in HSSC S2310, 8 – 9 pm. The schedule for upcoming workshops:

• October 4: Theory of Generalized Linear Models/Tree Algorithms
• October 6: Application of Generalized Linear Models/Tree Algorithms
• October 11: Theory of Advanced Algorithms/Neural Networks
• October 13: Application of Advanced Algorithms/Neural Networks

Tech Jobs & Internships Cohort: The CLS’s biweekly* cohort meetings for students applying to jobs & internships in the tech industry are moving to the HSSC. Spend your Thursday evening doing Leetcode with GrinTECH, machine learning with DASIL, and job apps with the CLS in between. You’ll find Sarah Barks and Sasha Grigorovich in the HSSC Atrium, 7 – 8:30 pm, October 6.

* “Biweekly? Is that twice a week, or every other week?” It’s both! This is the every-other-week kind of biweekly. English is weird.
